Hoses, Compensators, Single-Use
Many industries, like pharmaceutical, food, chemical, automotive, and heavy industries, use hoses, tubing, and various flexible solutions. These products are made of materials such as silicone, rubber, PTFE, PFA, FEP, and FKM. Venair Ibérica is a producer of high-quality process hoses, vibration compensators, single-use components and systems, and some specialized solutions.
Transfer of liquids
Products in this category are designed for safe, flexible, and hygienic transfer of liquid and semi-liquid media in the food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. They are suitable for use in filling, dosing, mixing, filtration, and formulation lines. The focus is on cleanliness, sterility, and resistance to sterilization processes (CIP/SIP).
Transfer of fats and chemicals
Products in this category are designed for the safe transfer of aggressive media such as fats, oils, alcohols, glycols, and chemicals. These hoses feature inner layers made from PTFE, PFA, FKM, and similar materials, ensuring high resistance and exceptional purity.
Handling and transfer of solid and powdered materials
Products in this category are designed for the transfer of powdered, granulated, or abrasive materials in processes such as silo filling, pneumatic conveying, or gravity discharge. They are flexible and wear-resistant, depending on the product requirements. Besides the hoses, silicone sleeves and vibration compensators are included in this category.
Single-Use components
Single-use technologies have become increasingly popular in the pharmaceutical industry, as they offer a number of benefits over traditional stainless-steel systems. One of the primary advantages is the significant reduction in validation of cleaning and sterilization processes. Single-use systems are disposable, eliminating the need for cleaning and sterilization, saving time and money for users by reducing the number of cleaning and sterilization equipment, reagents, and personnel.
Specialised solutions
In Hydrogen Technologies silicone hoses for fuel cells have a high temperature resistance and great flexibility at low temperatures, manufactured to be the best choice for fluid or chemical gas transfer applications.
The silicone hoses manufactured for green mobility have specific characteristics that make the final product of the highest quality. We have hoses that are flame retardant, have low conductivity, high purity and low permeability.
Thermal management solutions
Media temperature control specialized solutions, designed for heating, cooling, and insulating products during transfer processes include heated hose, cooling hose, insulated hose, and hybrid hose for continuous saturated steam transfer. Particularly beneficial in industries where temperature is critical for viscosity (caramel, glycerine, chocolate), microbiological safety, or energy efficiency.

Process hoses
Process hoses are critical components in industrial systems where fluids, gases, or semi-solids need to be transported safely and efficiently. These hoses are designed to withstand demanding conditions such as moderate pressure and temperatures, chemical exposure, and mechanical stress. Their applications span across industries like pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, chemical processing, biotechnology, and even aerospace.
Key features of process hoses
- Material composition: Process hoses are typically made from stainless steel, PTFE (Teflon), silicone, EPDM, or other specialized polymers. The choice of material depends on the nature of the fluid being transferred and the environmental conditions.
- Flexibility and strength: Unlike rigid piping, hoses offer flexibility, which is essential in dynamic systems or where vibration and movement are present.
- Sanitary design: In industries like food and pharma, hoses must meet stringent hygiene standards. Smooth inner surfaces, often made of PTFE or silicone, prevent bacterial growth and allow for easy cleaning.
- Chemical resistance: Many process hoses are engineered to resist corrosive chemicals, acids, and solvents, making them suitable for aggressive environments.
- Temperature and pressure ratings: Depending on the application, hoses can be rated for temperatures ranging from -60 °C to over 200 °C, and pressures from vacuum to around 10 bar.
Applications
- Pharmaceuticals: For transferring sterile liquids, APIs, and solvents.
- Food & Beverage: Used in dairy, brewing, and bottling processes for hygienic fluid transfer.
- Chemical processing: For handling acids, alkalis, and volatile compounds.
- Biotech: In cleanroom environments for media and buffer transfer.

Single-Use components
Single-use systems are disposable, eliminating the need for cleaning and sterilization, saving time and money for users. This also allows companies to reduce the number of cleaning and sterilization equipment, reagents, and personnel, resulting in reduced costs and increased efficiency. All of this translates into significantly improved batch turnaround times: as soon as a process is finished, the used material can be discarded, and another batch can begin processing with a pre-assembled and already sterilized system, greatly reducing downtime between batches.
Flexibility is another significant aspect of single-use technologies. These systems enable quick changes between different products and batch sizes, which is particularly advantageous for companies producing a wide range of products like CDMSs (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations) or experiencing high demand for their products. Single-use systems also allow for more precise control of the process, reducing the risk of cross-contamination and resulting in a higher quality final product.
VenaBio® Bag is a single use bioprocessing container suitable for media and buffer formulation, storage, mixing and transportation. They help increase plant productivity by avoiding cleaning validation.
Thermal management solutions
These specialized solutions include electrically heated hose, and cooling hose with integrated coiled hose through which a coolant / water / steam circulate to cool or, if needed, to heat the hose during transfer processes. They are mostly used in the food, cosmetic, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Vena® HEATED HOSE
The heated hose is specially recommended for applications which need to ensure a constant temperature to help maintain the fluidity of the product conducted through it. The thermal resistance, through the cool exit, it can be controlled using an electronic regulator. In the same way, the hose is provided with a PT 100 Ohm probe. Each model is built on demand and according to the customer specific needs (working and bursting pressure, vacuum resistance, bending radius, inside diameter, length…). Similarly, it can be made with a wide range of voltages. This is particularly beneficial in industries where temperature is critical for viscosity (caramel, glycerine, chocolate), microbiological safety, or energy efficiency.
